Before the jump scares got sequels and the sequels got campy, there was just a movie, a boiler room, and a man in a hat. A Nightmare on Elm Street dropped in 1984 and introduced Freddy Krueger to a generation of kids who absolutely should not have been watching it. The street sign concept pulls from that original dread — no face, no glove, just two words doing all the heavy lifting.

The Comfort Colors 1717 brings that same worn, been-through-it energy. Garment-dyed and pre-washed, it comes out of the dryer looking like it's already survived a few bad dreams. The faded font on a faded tee is either a coincidence or intentional — either way, it works.
